Michael Hesse

Michael Hesse is a seasoned project leader at MITRE since August 2021, specializing in innovative technologies and methodologies to support sponsor needs and tackle emerging challenges. Previously, Michael served in the United States Air Force from 1997 to July 2021, holding multiple influential positions including Assistant Professor at the National Defense University, Director of the Combat Operations Division at the 609th Air Operations Center, and Executive Officer at Headquarters Air Force for Test and Evaluation. Michael’s extensive background includes leadership roles in test and evaluation, operations, and command, complemented by advanced education with a Master of Science in Strategic Intelligence and a Master of Arts in Security Policy Studies.
