Michael Martin

Michael Martin is a Senior Advisor to VA OIS, bringing extensive executive leadership and technical expertise to the transformation of information systems across various government agencies, including the Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Defense. With a professional background that includes nearly 15 years as a Professor of Systems Management at National Defense University and the University of Maryland University College, Michael has a proven track record in mentoring staff and conveying complex information to facilitate executive decision-making. They hold a Master’s degree in Computer Science from The Johns Hopkins University and a Ph.D. in Information Technology from George Mason University. Additionally, Michael has contributed significantly to cybersecurity and information assurance through various roles within MITRE and other organizations.
