Nick Tran currently serves as the Principal Decision Analyst for Acquisition at MITRE, a Federally Funded Research Development Center, since August 2022. Prior to this role, Nick held positions such as Contracting Officer Representative and Readiness Analyst at the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, and Acquisition Policy Analyst at the Department of the Navy Research, Development, and Acquisition, where responsibilities included ensuring compliance with defense acquisition regulations. Previous experience includes deputy assistant program manager for the USS George Washington and project manager for the USS Gerald R. Ford at the U.S. Navy Program Executive Office for Aircraft Carriers, as well as serving as a contracts specialist for the Saudi Arabian National Guard Modernization Program and in various contracting roles across other organizations. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from George Mason University, a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering from the University of Virginia, and has completed a graduate course in Theater Security Decision Making at the U.S. Naval War College.
