Phil Hilliard

Phil Hilliard is a seasoned technology analyst with extensive experience in technical writing and education. Starting as a technical writer at Bianco Hopkins & Associates from 1989 to 1993 and at NCR from 1993 to 1998, Phil then transitioned to roles as a competitive intelligence analyst at BellSouth and a researcher/program assistant at The National Academies. Since June 2004, Phil has been a technology analyst at MITRE, focusing on research and analysis across various fields including information technology, telecommunications, and biotechnology, earning the MITRE Director’s Award for contributions to a forecasting project. Additionally, Phil serves as an adjunct associate professor at the University of Maryland University College and has taught hybrid courses on computer applications for business at the College of Coastal Georgia. Phil holds a master's degree in Information and Library Science from Florida State University, an MBA from Georgia State University, and a bachelor's degree in Information and Computer Science from Georgia Institute of Technology.
