Reed Herner

Reed Herner is a Senior Nuclear Effects Engineer at the MITRE Corporation, having joined the team in August 2024. Prior to this role, they gained extensive experience at Analytical Mechanics Associates, where they worked on a variety of nuclear space projects and served as the lead on several key initiatives. Reed's background includes internships and a research fellowship, where they focused on nuclear thermal propulsion and Pu-238 production for space exploration. They earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Nuclear Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
