Rick Cagle

Rick Cagle has extensive experience in software systems engineering and enterprise architecture, currently serving as the Senior Principal Information Systems Engineer and Department Head at The MITRE Corporation since January 2019. Previously, Rick held various roles at MITRE, including Department Manager and Acting Co-Department Head, focusing on Cloud Engineering, Continuous Integration, DevOps, and Service Architectures. Prior to MITRE, Rick was the Vice President of Services at ETC, where responsibilities included technical consulting and new business development. Additional experience includes serving as a Senior Consultant at KANA Software Inc., specializing in integration solutions, and as a Software Developer at Purina Mills, Inc. Rick holds a Master of Science in Physics from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Bates College, complemented by a strong foundational education at the North Carolina School of Science and Mathematics.
