Tim Saad is a seasoned systems engineer and technology strategist currently serving as a Lead Systems Engineer at MITRE since April 2022. In this role, Tim applies data science techniques to derive intelligence insights for strategic planning and operations while developing methodologies to identify capability gaps and operational deficiencies. Prior to MITRE, Tim held the position of Principal Systems Engineer at Raytheon Technologies, where leadership of a research and development program focused on innovative defense systems and threat assessment projects took place. Tim's earlier experience includes serving as a Research Analyst at the Institute for Defense Analyses, ensuring adequate testing and evaluation of defense systems, and as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Maryland, contributing to infrastructure solutions. Tim holds a Ph.D. and a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
