Tom Clancy

Tom Clancy, CIDPRO, is a Principal Identity, Credential, and Access Management (ICAM) Engineer at MITRE since September 2021, specializing in collaboration with experts across various sectors to address ICAM challenges. Clancy holds leadership roles in the OpenID Foundation and FIDO Alliance, contributing to government assurance and deployment initiatives. Previously, Clancy served as Chief of Identity Solutions at the Office of the Secretary of Defense, overseeing ID management strategies critical to the DoD's digital modernization efforts. With an extensive military background, including senior positions in the US Army and US Transportation Command, Clancy brings over three decades of experience in cybersecurity, information assurance, and network engineering, supported by degrees in Systems Engineering and Computer Science from the US Military Academy at West Point and Stony Brook University, along with a master's from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy.
