Weiye

Weiye Ma is a Principal AI/Speech Scientist at MITRE since 2015, with a concurrent role as a Visiting Lecturer at Weber State University, where lectures focus on Speech and Data Science for undergraduate and graduate students. As a co-founder and co-national chair of The Ubiquitous Voice Society, Weiye Ma promotes the development of user-friendly voice-based interfaces while connecting professionals in the field. Previous experience includes serving as CTO at ZOWi (XOWI) from 2013 to 2015, and as a Senior Speech Scientist at Schneider Electric from 2008 to 2011. Weiye Ma also held the position of Senior System Analyst at Convergys from 2007 to 2008. Educational qualifications include a PhD and Master's degree in Speech Signal Processing and Recognition from KU Leuven, along with a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Jilin University.
