Yaakov Weinstein is a physicist with extensive experience in quantum information, having worked at MITRE from 2005 to 2023, where they focused on experimental quantum optics, fault tolerance, and error correction, as well as exploring entanglement and quantum chaos. From 2003 to 2005, they served as an NRC Post Doctoral Fellow at the Naval Research Laboratory, conducting research in various aspects of quantum information. Currently, Yaakov holds the position of Editor-In-Chief for the journal Quantum Information Processing, a role they have maintained since 2014. They earned a BA in Physics and Mathematics from Yeshiva University and a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
