Alon Lerner currently serves as an investment committee member at Eretz Noshevet since October 2022 and as a consulting specialist for Mitsui & Co., Ltd. since April 2023, providing support to the Mitsui seed department in developing a global seed group. From July 2003 to August 2014, Alon co-founded Top Seeds International Ltd., where responsibilities included leading a research and development team, breeding peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers, and driving innovation in collaboration with Japan Vegetable Seeds of Mitsui & Co. Prior experience includes breeding tomatoes at De Ruiter Seeds from 2000 to 2003 and leading R&D teams at Kaiima Bio-Agritech Ltd. from May 2014 to April 2017, where Alon also co-founded the company and developed new breeding technology. In 2025, Alon will take on the role of Chief Agriculture Officer at Day 8.
