Hiroshi Kakiuchi

Hiroshi Kakiuchi is the current Chief Operating Officer of Performance Materials Business Unit at Mitsui. Hiroshi has previous experience working as a General Manager for the SCM solution Div. at Mitsui & Co., Ltd. from April 2004 to May 2007. Afterwards, they became the General Manager of Chemical Division at Mitsui & Co.(Taiwan) , Ltd. from May 2007 to January 2011. Their responsibilities included domestic, export, import and offshore trade of performance chemicals. Prior to that, they were the Manager of Industrial Plastics Department at Mitsiam Plastics Co.,Ltd. from February 1994 to December 1998. At Mitsiam Plastics, they were responsible for trading business of performance materials and related investment projects.

Hiroshi Kakiuchi received their Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Commerce from Keio University in Japan. Hiroshi later pursued a career in Economics and worked as a researcher at Thamasat University in Bangkok, Thailand.

Hiroshi Kakiuchi works with Takashi Furutani - Chief Operating Officer of Basic Materials Business Unit, Tetsuya Fukuda - Chief Operating Officer of Mineral & Metal Resources Business Unit, and Tetsu Watanabe - COO of Nutrition & Agriculture Business Unit. Hiroshi Kakiuchi reports to Tatsuo Yasunaga, President & CEO.
