Simon Watt

Simon Watt is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in the music and technology industries, currently serving as EVP Strategy and EVP Product Growth at Orfium since September 2017, where product and platform strategy development is a focus. Simon also acts as an advisor for Orfium's rights management products and Mixcloud, which is redefining radio. Previously, Simon held the position of Non Executive Director at the Mechanical Copyright Protection Society, providing guidance on technology and data strategy, and was the Founder and CTO of Karakuri, which innovated made-to-order healthy convenience food through robotics and advanced software. As Managing Director of Swattco, Simon offered consultancy at the intersection of technology and entertainment. With a background that includes a senior role as Head of Technology at Universal Music Group and Director of Research at ARM, Simon has over 10 years in the music industry and a decade in electronics, alongside a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from the University of Southampton.
