Aamir Shakir

Aamir Shakir is a co-founder and baker at mixedbread.ai since December 2023. Previously, Aamir served as a research assistant at the Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne from September 2021 to February 2023 and completed a software engineering internship at Google during the summer of 2022. Aamir has teaching experience at Otto-von-Guericke-Universität Magdeburg, where responsibilities included aiding courses in Numeric and Optimization, Introduction to Computer Science, Probability Theory, and Analysis from October 2019 to August 2021. Aamir also worked as a strategic consultant for digital transformations at ritzenhoefer & company and as a software development and IT security intern at IBM iX in 2020. Aamir holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from EPFL, a Bachelor's degree in Medicine from Universität Greifswald, and a Bachelor of Science in Informatik from Otto-von-Guericke University Magdeburg.
