Cassandra Schaffa has a diverse work experience. Cassandra began their career in 2008 as a tutor for America Reads*America Counts. In 2007, they became an office manager for Breathe Editing and a tape logger for GIGANTIC! Productions. In 2009, they interned as a curatorial intern at The Paley Center for Media. In 2010, they became the director of festival operations for Women's Voices Now. In 2011, they worked as a temp for Forrest Solutions Group and was offered a full-time position as an HR assistant at Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc. During their time at Take-Two Interactive Software, Inc., they also worked as an associate recruiting/HR specialist and an HR coordinator. In 2016, they became an HR generalist at Queens Botanical Garden. Finally, in 2021, they began working at Mixlab as a people manager and was later promoted to senior people manager and director of people.
Cassandra Schaffa has an education history that includes an M.A. in Cinema Studies from New York University between 2008 and 2010, and a B.A. in Broadcast Communication and Spanish from Flagler College between 2001 and 2005. Additionally, they have obtained a number of certifications, including a Certification in People Analytics expected in Spring 2021 from New York University, a PADI Advanced Open Water SCUBA Certification from PADI in 2016, a Mental Health First Aid USA Certification from the National Council for Behavioral Health in 2019, a Professional Recruiter Certification from AIRS in 2015, and an Administrative Human Resources Certification from Lynda.com in 2016.
