Pete Varner

Pete Varner has extensive experience in construction management, currently serving as an Adjunct Instructor for Wastewater Operations at SUNY Ulster since January 2021 and as a Construction Manager at M&J Engineering, P.C. since January 2020. Prior to these roles, Pete worked as a Construction Manager for the New York City Department of Environmental Protection from May 2014 to January 2020 and held the position of Sr. Construction Manager at Dvirka and Bartilucci Architects and Engineers from January 2012 to May 2014, where management of high-profile contracts with NYC DEP was a key responsibility. Previous experience includes Senior Construction Manager at Camp Dresser McKee Inc. and Resident Engineer at LMS Engineers, focusing on project management and personnel oversight throughout a career spanning over two decades. Pete Varner holds two Bachelor of Science degrees in Geology/Earth Science and Geology Education from SUNY New Paltz, obtained between 1992 and 1998.
