Rusty Smith

Rusty Smith is a seasoned engineering and program management professional with extensive experience in the HVAC industry. Currently serving as a Program Manager and New Product Development Leader at MJC, Inc. since February 2017, Rusty has successfully transitioned the company from custom HVAC solutions to manufacturing standard products, culminating in the launch of a highly efficient water-cooled A/C unit. Prior experience includes a role as Project Manager and Engineering Design Team Leader at Trane, where Rusty led the design and launch of ultra-high efficiency units across multiple international sites. Additional positions held include Product Application Engineer at SWEP International AB, Product Engineer at Trane, and various engineering and management roles at Parker Hannifin and Allied Signal. Rusty holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina State University.
