Alexander Lemon

President & Co-Founder at Mkango Resources

Alexander Lemon is the president and co-founder of Mkango Resources. Alexander has over fifteen years of experience in the mining industry, with a focus on rare earth elements (REEs) and uranium.

Lemon began their career as a geologist with London Bridge Associates, working on tunnelling and civil engineering projects. Alexander then spent two years with North Atlantic Minerals Ltd as a geologist before joining Signet Mining Services as a consultant geologist. In this role, they were responsible for field reconnaissance and sampling on uranium and gold projects in Chad and Niger. Alexander also designed drill programmes for two uranium projects in Niger.

In 2012, Lemon joined Norsve Resources AB as Chief Geologist. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing all geological activities, including mapping, drilling and resource estimation. Alexander also served as a director of the company.

In 2014, Lemon left Norsve Resources to co-found Mkango Resources, where they currently serve as President.

Alexander Lemon has a PhD in Geology from the University of Greenwich, a BSc and MSc in Geology from the UiT- The Arctic University of Norway, and a BA(Hons) in Scandinavian Studies from UCL. Alexander has also attended the Spring Quarter Geology Field Camp at Western Washington University.

Alexander Lemon reports to William Dawes, Chief Executive Officer and Co-Founder. They are on a team with and Tim Slater - Interim CFO.
