Mark Aitken is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in software project management and engineering leadership. Currently serving as Director of Engineering at MKS Instruments since November 2015, Mark has progressed from Engineering Manager and Principal Software Engineer within the same company, contributing to expertise in web applications, embedded systems, and scientific instrumentation. Prior experience includes serving as a CMS Engineer with responsibilities across the software project management lifecycle and as an On Call Fire Fighter with Cheshire Fire Service. Mark holds an MSc in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Liverpool and a BSc in Computer Science from Lancaster University.
