Ron Collins

Ron Collins is a seasoned mechanical engineer with extensive experience in innovative product development across various technology sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Principal Mechanical Engineer at MKS Instruments in the Plasma & Reactive Gas division, Ron focuses on mechanical design and analysis for rapid-turnaround projects. Prior experience includes roles as Director of Engineering and Principal Engineer at Energetiq Technology, where responsibilities encompassed the design and development of laser-driven light sources. Ron has also worked as a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Emphysys, as well as holding founding and mechanical engineering positions at Energetiq and Compact Instruments. Earlier in the career, Ron contributed to the development of commercial diamond reactor systems and various underwater pressure vessels. Ron holds a degree from the University of Massachusetts Lowell and is a 1st Degree Black Belt in Kenpo from Kenpo Academy in New Hampshire.
