Bert R. Mandelbaum

Bert R. Mandelbaum, M.D., DHL (Hon) is an esteemed Orthopaedic Surgeon and Founder of the Santa Monica Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Group, where active since 1989, serving as Director of the Sports Medicine Fellowship Program and the Research and Education Foundation. With extensive academic contributions, Mandelbaum has authored 90 journal articles and five books, while also holding roles such as Creator and Author of "The Win Within" since 2013, Co-Chair of Medical Affairs at the Institute for Sports Sciences, and Member of the FIFA Medical Committee since 2006. Additionally, Mandelbaum has served as Team Physician for the United States Soccer Federation, LA Galaxy, and Chivas USA, among others, and holds the position of Director of Research for Major League Baseball. Educational credentials include a Doctor of Medicine from Washington University School of Medicine and a Bachelor's Degree in Biology/Chemistry from the State University of New York Cortland, complemented by an honorary Doctorate of Humane Letters.
