Billy Bean

Billy Bean serves as the Senior Vice President of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion and Special Assistant to the Commissioner at Major League Baseball since June 2014. With previous experience as Vice President and MLB Ambassador for Inclusion, Billy Bean focuses on promoting an inclusive and equitable environment within the sport. Prior to this role, Billy Bean was an author and former Major League Baseball player, publishing "Going the Other Way: Lessons from a life in and out of Major League Baseball" from April 2003 to May 2012. Billy Bean holds a degree in Business Administration from Loyola Marymount University, where studies were completed from 1983 to 1986.
