Brian McTaggart

Brian McTaggart is a seasoned sports reporter with extensive experience in covering baseball and other sports. Since June 2009, McTaggart has served as the Astros beat writer for MLB.com, the official website of Major League Baseball. Prior to this role, McTaggart spent nearly 14 years at the Houston Chronicle, where coverage included high schools, soccer, the Rockets, Rice University, and the Astros. Earlier experience includes a position as a sports writer at Brazosport Facts and various roles at the Houston Post, where McTaggart played a key role in high school sports coverage. McTaggart holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Houston, with a major in Radio and Television and a minor in journalism.
