Geoffrey Erickson

Lead Software Engineer, Gaming & VR at Major League Baseball

Geoffrey Erickson is an experienced software engineer specializing in gaming and virtual reality, currently serving as the Lead Software Engineer for Major League Baseball since June 2017. In this role, Geoffrey ported MLBVR from Daydream to Quest and developed a system for real-time virtual ball trails and play information during live broadcasts. Previously, at Amplify, Geoffrey managed a team of engineers to integrate online services for educational games, while also contributing foundational technology for Touchpress Games. Earlier positions included Senior Gameplay Programmer at Ogmento, where Geoffrey led the development of an augmented reality experience, and Gameplay Programmer roles at KAOS Studios, Midway Games, and Shiny Entertainment, where significant contributions were made to various gaming projects. Geoffrey holds a degree from UC Santa Barbara.
