Marissa Root

Marissa Root currently serves as Senior Vice President of Real Estate, Facilities and Office Operations at Major League Baseball, a position held since May 2016, with a focus on managing MLB.com offices, overseeing construction projects, and leading day-to-day operations for a large workforce. Prior to MLB, Marissa held the role of Senior Manager of Office Services at J.Crew, where duties included setting operational standards, managing office relocations, and ensuring high-quality customer service. Marissa’s earlier experience includes managerial positions at Morgans Hotel Group, overseeing corporate operations and support, and various roles in office management and administrative support. Marissa holds a Bachelor's degree in Advertising, Marketing, and Communications from the Fashion Institute of Technology.
