Matt McKendry

Matt McKendry serves as the Vice President of Umpire Operations for Major League Baseball, a position held since November 2000, under the guidance of Michael Hill. Over the years, McKendry has advanced through various roles, including Director, where responsibilities included overseeing operational logistics and evaluation processes for Major League umpires. Prior to this, McKendry held the title of Specialist in On-Field Operations, focusing on discipline, pace of game, and player safety, and served as Coordinator for Club Relations. McKendry began a career in baseball as a Media Relations Assistant for the New York Yankees before pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business/Managerial Economics from the Fordham Gabelli School of Business, graduating in May 2000.
