Steve Johnson

Steve Johnson has extensive experience in law enforcement and investigation, currently serving as a Background Investigator for the City of Lone Tree, CO since December 2023 and in the Authentication Program for Major League Baseball since September 2022. Previously, Steve held the position of Chief Deputy at the Douglas County Sheriff's Office from August 2014 to January 2024, overseeing patrol and investigations. Steve's career includes significant roles at the Colorado Bureau of Investigation, where responsibilities ranged from Agent-in-Charge to Deputy Director from 2001 to 2014. Prior to that, Steve was with the City of Littleton's Police Department from February 1980 to February 2001. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Administration of Justice and Security from the University of Phoenix and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and Criminology from Metropolitan State University of Denver, along with attendance at the FBI National Academy in 2007.
