Tom St. John is a computer scientist specializing in hardware/software co-design for high performance computing (HPC) and deep learning on extreme-scale architectures. They have extensive experience in parallel programming models and runtime systems, having worked as a senior HPC Software Engineer at Intel Corporation, a Staff Machine Learning Scientist at Tesla, and a Principal Machine Learning Systems Engineer at OctoML. Currently, Tom is a Chair of the Automotive Advisory Board at MLCommons and serves as affiliated faculty in the Computer and Information Sciences Department at the University of Delaware. Tom is also co-founder and CTO of Decompute and actively involved in various projects related to AI acceleration and performance optimization.
