Paul Matthews

Creative Director

Paul Matthews serves as the Creative Director, Commercial at MLSE since August 2018, overseeing the internal agency responsible for integrated marketing campaigns for notable sports teams, including the Toronto Maple Leafs and Toronto Raptors. With prior roles at MLSE that include Interim Creative Director and Associate Creative Director, Matthews has shaped creative strategies for high-profile partners such as Google, Coca-Cola, and OLG. Before joining MLSE, operations at Consul, a creative content firm, were spearheaded by Matthews as President and Creative Producer. Additional experience encompasses roles as Head of Development at Guile Productions, film criticism for Toronto Life Magazine, and authorship of a book on successful Canadians. Matthews holds a BA in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford.
