Yanxin Yang

Yanxin Yang is a skilled data scientist currently employed at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment Partnership since March 2019, previously serving as a Data Science Specialist at Beam Data from May 2018 to March 2019. At Beam Data, Yanxin contributed to optimizing machine learning models for an accounting startup, involved in preprocessing raw data from Google OCR outputs and parsing millions of JSON-formatted receipt data using Python, as well as participating in model development for predicting merchant names and receipt dates. Yanxin holds a certification as a Data Scientist from WeCloudData, completed in 2019, and earned a PhD in Chemistry from the University of Toronto in 2017, following a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Nankai University obtained in 2012.
