mm Instruments Inc. is a medtech company founded in 2021 with one mission: making safe and efficient glaucoma treatment affordable and available for everybody.

We have developed the IPM Flat Drainage Device — a flat surgical steel implant that works with the eye's own tissue to create a pressure-responsive relief valve, achieving a self-regulated outflow of aqueous humor. Unlike conventional tube-based devices, the IPM can be implanted using a standard surgical technique performable by any ophthalmic surgeon with basic instruments — giving it high potential for worldwide adoption.

The IPM has been evaluated in a clinical pilot study with 24 subjects over 12 months:
🟠 79.5% surgical success
🟠 42% reduction in intraocular pressure (from 24 to 14 mmHg)
🟠 Median glaucoma medication reduced from 4 to 1
🟠 No major complications
🟠 Results achieved in a high-risk population with advanced glaucoma and prior failed surgeries

🌍 Protected by 33 granted patents across the world's most strategic markets, including the United States, China, Germany, Japan, India, Brazil, France, United Kingdom, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Colombia, Peru, South Korea, and 19 additional countries.

Recognized with the Gold Medal with congratulations from the jury at the International Exhibition of Inventions in Geneva, Switzerland, and 1st place in the Biotechnology & Medicine category at the National Contest of Inventions of Peru.

🔘 Currently in licensing stage — seeking a strategic partner to commercialize the IPM globally.
