About MMAARS

Mars-Moon Astronautics Academy & Research Sciences (MMAARS) is an internationally recognized vanguard in pioneering analog astronautics, space medicine, and frontier technology research and training. Founded in 2014 (formerly Mars Academy USA), MMAARS leads the advancement of human spaceflight simulation and space health sciences through immersive, multidisciplinary education that prepares future explorers, scientists, and innovators to thrive in the New Space Era.

MMAARS operates both Virtual and In-Person Astronautics Training Programs, integrating XR learning, digital twinning, multi-omics health research, and extreme-environment simulations that mirror lunar and Martian habitats. Its mission is to cultivate human adaptability, innovation, and leadership for sustainable life beyond Earth.

As a global organization, MMAARS proudly collaborates with academic, nonprofit, commercial, and government partners — including Space Kidz India, Puerto Rico Space Foundation, Cosmic Girls Foundation, the University of North Dakota’s ILMAH Habitat, the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS), the National Space Society (NSS), VASTX, and AvatarMEDIC. Together, these partnerships advance international cooperation, STEAM education, and innovation in analog astronautics, telemedicine, and space sustainability.

MMAARS has earned multiple recognitions for its outstanding contributions to STEAM Education, DEIA (Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility), and space outreach, with numerous scientific publications and global conference presentations. In 2025, MMAARS received the prestigious Sir Arthur C. Clarke Award from the British Interplanetary Society for excellence in STEAM Education and Promoting Diversity in Space Exploration and Analog Astronautics.
