Mia Allus

Mia Allus is the current GM of Malaysia at mmob. Mia has also worked as the Programme Director at HSBC Amanah from December 2016 to June 2021. In this role, they were responsible for leading a team to drive and affect an entity wide change to transition the bank into a sustainable bank, the first within the Banking group. This included spearheading and managing organisational change within the bank, formulating and developing internal frameworks in line with strategy and objective of VBI, ESG, Sustainable Finance, providing subject matter/advisory on Values-Based Intermediation, ESG, Sustainable Finance within the bank, for both commercial and non-commercial activities, representing the bank at most senior entity forum and also at key regional forum, overseeing Project Management Office for the transformation project, and preparing monthly progress report to governance committees and stakeholders relevant meetings.

During their time at HSBC Amanah, Mia Allus was responsible for establish 2020 & 2021 initiatives for Cocoon and developing relevant frameworks for Cocoon initiatives, leading a team to develop a centralized tracking system for the bank’s SF asset and an automated project initiatives tracking, completing integration of Bankwide pilot internal training programme, coordinating two bank executives trainings for Sustainability in collaboration with London Business school and Frankfurt school of finance and management, and coordinating Level 2 industry training on climate change on behalf of the Sub Com 4 of BNM x SC Joint Climate Change Committee under the ASEAN Low Carbon Energy Programme (LCEP) in 2020.

Mia Allus has a Master of Laws from the University of Hertfordshire, a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Hertfordshire, and various certifications from PADI, London Business School, HarvardX, the Legal Profession Qualifying Board Malaysia, Harvard Business School Online, and APMG International.

They work with Amit Mehta - Chief of Staff, Amanda Bramall - Head, Talent Acquisition, and Tom Biss - Sales Director. Mia Allus reports to Irfan Khan, CEO & Founder.
