Jonathan Brossard

Jonathan Brossard has extensive work experience in the field of cyber security. Jonathan started their career in 2008 as a Lead Information Security Researcher at iViZ Techno Solutions Private Limited. During this time, they led security research, audited complex software, and discovered vulnerabilities in major encryption software. Jonathan also played a role in improving industry policies regarding BIOS security.

In 2010, Brossard joined Commonwealth Bank as a Senior Penetration Tester before moving on to become the CTO and Cyber Security Engineer at Moabi.com and MOABI GROUP. These positions involved automated reverse engineering, red teaming, and long-term consulting engagements within the industrial sector. Brossard has worked with leading car manufacturers, global financial institutions, and French CAC 40 companies.

Brossard then joined Salesforce in 2014, initially serving as a Principal Engineer and later as the Director of Offensive Security. In these roles, they managed the Security Research operations and led the Red Team and Purple Team engagements. Jonathan focused on team building, company culture, and engaging all aspects of the business.

From 2018 to 2019, Brossard worked at Change.org as the Director and Head of Security, responsible for the security of users, company assets, and staff. Jonathan covered various security aspects, including cyber security, physical security, policy adherence, and shaping the security culture of the organization.

Recently, in 2021, Brossard joined Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers as an Associate Professor.

Jonathan Brossard has a strong educational background in cybersecurity, reverse engineering, engineering, computer science, and economy.

Jonathan is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Cybersecurity/Reverse Engineering at the Conservatoire National des Arts et Métiers, starting in 2019.

Prior to that, they obtained their Master's Degree in Engineering and Computer Science from École des Mines de Saint-Étienne, completing it from 2004 to 2007.

Before their Master's Degree, they also completed a Bachelor's Degree in Economy at École des Mines de Saint-Étienne, from 2004 to 2006.

In addition to their formal education, Jonathan Brossard has obtained various certifications, including an MBA essentials certification from The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) in June 2020, a Radio Amateur Technician License from ARRL, the national association for Amateur Radio, in December 2018, a Rights3x: Human Rights Defenders certification from Amnesty International in February 2018, an MIT Cybersecurity MOOC certification from MIT Professional Education in January 2016, an Immunity Master Class certification on SMT Solvers & Kernel exploitation from Immunity Inc. in May 2015, a Salesforce Dev 501 certification from Salesforce in November 2014, a Salesforce Dev 401 certification from Salesforce in October 2014, and a Risk Manager ISO 27005 certification from LSTI in September 2010.
