Kian Wright

SVP Engineering at Mobile Health

Kian Wright has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. Kian started their career as a Project Manager at Livingstone & Assoc. in 1990. From there, they worked as a Director of Software Development at HealthStar Managed Care, managing a software development team for a regional PPO. Kian then joined Arthur D. Little, Inc. as a Senior Manager in their IT Strategy and Healthcare practices, working as a management consultant for major players in the pharmaceutical, medical devices, hospital supply chain, and pharmacy benefit management industries.

In 2002, Kian moved to Performance Improvement Associates, where they worked as a Principal, focusing on information management and technology consulting in the healthcare, pharmaceutical, and biotech industries. During this time, they worked with various clients, including a radiology software firm, a hospital supply group purchasing organization, a medical supply internet startup, and a Medicare health exchange startup.

Kian then joined Senior Educators as the VP of Engineering and Information Technology, managing technology and software for a Medicare health exchange startup. This company was eventually purchased by Hewitt Associates, becoming Aon Hewitt Navigators. Kian worked there as a Technology Leader, responsible for application architecture, data modeling, technology strategy, software requirement and design review, and assisting the Ruby on Rails software development team.

After Aon Hewitt, Kian joined Benefitter as a Senior Software Architect, focusing on application architecture, software design, and development for a healthcare startup. Kian later became the CTO of 16 Minute Club, leading the technology efforts of the company.

Kian's most recent role was at Jiff, Inc. where they worked as a Senior Software Engineer and Technical Lead for the Integrations group, building solutions to connect with partners and developing core platforms and systems. Currently, they hold the position of SVP Engineering at Mobile Health Consumer, Inc., where they are involved in designing and building a communications and incentivization platform to improve employee health using Python/Django on PostgreSQL.

Kian Wright obtained a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Archaeology from Dartmouth College in 1988. Later, from 1993 to 1996, they pursued an MBA from Northwestern University - Kellogg School of Management, specializing in Marketing, Healthcare Management, and Organizational Behavior.
