William Blume

Chief Architect at MobileForce Software

Bill is the key designer of the MobileForce platform software, its SaaS and client-side architectures, backend database and much of its associated business logic.

Previously, he was the chief software architect of Jareva, where he was instrumental in developing the successful server provisioning platform OpForce. Following Jareva’s acquisition by VERITAS, he served as the company’s senior architect. Bill also worked at Hewlett-Packard’s compiler lab, developing compiler optimizations for HP’s PA-RISC and Itanium processors.

His roles included developing both low-level and high-level compiler optimizations, performance analysis and tuning of large enterprise applications, and development of a Java JVM for Itanium. His technical interests include programming languages, compiler optimizations, performance tuning, and software engineering.

Bill has a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign in the field of compiler optimizations for highly parallel supercomputers. His hobbies include hiking and drawing.
