João Lopes

João Lopes has over 20 years of work experience in the telecommunications industry. João started their career as a Training Manager at ACRA, where they focused on teaching Windows95, Microsoft Word, and Excel.

João then worked at FAS - Sistemas de Informação as an Operations Support System Engineer, where they monitored processes in a production environment and automated alarms and process recovery.

After that, João joined Optimus as a Software Engineer, responsible for the development and production environment of finishing software modules. João handled design documents and configuration, monitoring, and software development for outbound contact campaigns and invoices.

João moved to WeDo Technologies, where they held various roles starting from Senior Consultant for Billing and Finishing systems, to Senior Solutions Architect for OSS and Provisioning Specialist. João was also the Product Owner for Activis, an innovative BPM/OSS provisioning product. João continued to grow within the company and became the Head of the Hardware Sizing and Benchmark program, as well as the Head of Engineering.

Currently, João is the Head of Engineering at Mobileum. João leads the Risk Management Engineering Department, focusing on building Fraud Management and Revenue Assurance products for the Telecom Market.

João Lopes has a diverse education history. João obtained their Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Universidade Nova de Lisboa, where they studied from 1998 to 2004. Later, in 2008, they attended Universidade Católica Portuguesa, completing a General Management program.

In terms of secondary education, João attended Escola Secundária Fernando Lopes Graça, where they studied Computer Science. However, specific dates for this educational experience are not provided.

In 2015, João pursued further education at Instituto Superior Técnico, specializing in Management for Engineers, a program that they completed in 2016.

Continuing with their professional development, João attended various certification programs. In 2017, they completed the Information Security Management Systems Auditor/Lead Auditor Training Course at SGS Portugal. Furthermore, in 2018, they attended Rumos and acquired knowledge of Introduction to Relational Databases with PostgreSQL.

João also holds additional certifications. In December 2017, they obtained the Information Security Management Systems Lead Auditor on ISO/27001:2013 certification from SGS. More recently, in June 2019, they obtained two certifications from Amazon Web Services (AWS): AWS Business Professional and AWS Technical Professional.
