Leonid Smolansky

VP, SoC Architecture at Mobileye

Leonid Smolyansky leads the silicon-on-chip (SoC) architecture team delivering cost, performance and power-optimized solutions for the Mobileye EyeQ product family. He also works with customers and third-party IP vendors to define EyeQ product requirements related to performance, connectivity, automotive safety and security.

Smolyansky brings more than 20 years of experience in SoC architecture and design at both Motorola and later Freescale to Mobileye. In the latter role, he was chief architect of the i.MX product family. He later moved to AMD as a fellow and systems and architecture manager. Smolyansky was the lead architect behind Mobileye’s next-generation EyeQ5 SoC, which is expected to deliver real breakthroughs in terms of performance, price and power consumption for fully autonomous vehicles. As an active member of the MIPI Alliance, he participated on working groups for SLIMbus, UniPro, and now - APHY.

Smolyansky speaks 5 languages, enjoys jazz music, cooking, and traveling – especially to classical Europe.
