Carl Fredlund

Carl Fredlund has a diverse and extensive work experience. Carl started their career as an Organizer at the Milwaukee Transit Riders Union in 2007, where they successfully prevented bus service cuts and fare hikes through collaboration with various organizations. Carl then transitioned to the Technische Universität Wien, where they worked as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant from 2011 to 2013, supporting labs and grading work in a program-wide course, conducted in German. Carl then joined Busbud in 2013 as a Business Development Manager, where they prospect and qualified potential supply partners and negotiated sales and technology partnerships with bus companies across 30 countries. Carl was later promoted to the role of Business Analyst, where they built an international inventory playbook and identified key user personas to improve user experience. In 2016, Carl became a Senior Product Manager at Busbud, conducting international user research, coordinating API integration and database backend overhaul, and implementing a new payment processor and fraud prevention suite. Finally, in 2020, Carl joined MobilityData as a Product Director, a role they held until 2023. Carl is currently serving as a Strategy Director at MobilityData.

Carl Fredlund earned a Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning from Technische Universität Wien, completing their studies from 2008 to 2013. In 2012, they also pursued Architecture and Urban Design at Slovenská technická univerzita v Bratislave. Additionally, Carl obtained a certification in Professional Agile Leadership (PAL I) from Scrum.org in 2022.
