Gretchen Newcomb has over 30 years of work experience, with a focus on strategic planning, communications, business development, and sales in various industries. Their most recent role is as the Director of Community & Partnerships in North America & Australasia at MobilityData, where they support the adoption of standardized data for transit. Prior to that, they worked as a Strategic Advisor and Communications professional at GN Freelance Inc., providing services to clients such as Microsoft and PCMag.com. Gretchen co-founded The C3 Group and served as Vice President of Business Development for six years. Gretchen also co-founded Newcomb Communications and Consulting, where they developed and executed a strategic marketing plan for automotive technology journalist Doug Newcomb. Additionally, they held management positions at PRIMEDIA, Attitude Network Ltd., American Cybercast, CMP MEDIA, CURTCO PUBLISHING, and Time Inc., where they gained experience in advertising, sales, and market research.
