Alvin Ng

Alvin Ng has a diverse work experience spanning different industries and roles. Alvin started their career as an Accounting Clerk at Pretend City Children's Museum in 2017. In 2019, Alvin worked as a Data Analytic Intern at Ornus Capital, where they improved data visualization using D3.js and implemented mobile responsiveness using React.

Later in 2019, Alvin joined Frequency as a Technical Account Manager Intern, where they created API testing scripts and supported the QA team in the test environment. Alvin also worked as a Junior Quality Assurance Engineer, streamlining metadata collection pipelines and visualizing data for management using Tableau and AWS Quicksight.

Alvin then joined MobilityWare in 2022 as a Data Engineer, where they implemented an end-to-end data pipeline process using AWS S3, Apache Airflow, and Snowflake. Alvin collaborated with external vendors and internal analytic teams to retrieve and analyze user data, focusing on creating and visualizing KPIs such as CPM, CPI, and organic installs.

Apart from their professional experiences, Alvin also served in various roles at Irvine Valley College, including Accounting Tutor, IVC ASG President, and ASG IVC Vice President of Budget and Finance. Alvin managed budgets, handled requests for the student government, and served on the campus-wide Budget Development and Resource Planning Committee.

Alvin's work experience also includes roles as a Student Worker at UCLA Office of Information Technology, where they provided support, and as a Senior Clerk at UCLA Anderson School of Management, where they served as a liaison between MBA students and top-tier firms.

Alvin Ng's education history begins with their high school education at The Oratory School in Reading, England, where they attended from 2009 to 2014.

After completing high school, Alvin Ng enrolled at Irvine Valley College in 2014 and studied Accounting and Computer Science until 2017.

In 2017, Alvin Ng transferred to UCLA and pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, which they completed in 2019.

In the same year, Alvin Ng attended UCLA Extension for a short period to study Full Stack Web Development.

Currently, Alvin Ng is pursuing a Master's degree in Data Science at the University of California, Berkeley, a program that they are expected to complete in 2024.
