Alex Thier is a global policy leader focused on rights and democracy, climate and equality, and peace and justice. Currently serving as CEO of Lapis and Senior Advisor at MOBY GROUP, Alex has held prominent positions including CEO of the Global Fund to End Modern Slavery and Executive Director of the Overseas Development Institute. Alex's previous roles encompass leadership and strategic consulting on democracy and development with various organizations, including Freedom House and the US Institute of Peace. With an extensive background in international development, Alex has been involved in high-level negotiations and policy formulation across multiple global contexts. Alex holds degrees from Brown University and Stanford University Law School and is currently pursuing a Master's in Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University.
