Our mission is to promote awareness and understanding of Indigenous cultures, territories, and treaties through educational programs and visual markers. By engaging communities, schools, and institutions, the Moccasin Identifier invites people to learn whose land they are on and to carry that knowledge into everyday life.

Through partnerships with educators, conservation organizations, museums, and local governments, we provide resources, workshops, and moccasin marker stencils that help identify and commemorate traditional territories in public spaces.

Every moccasin marker tells a story — one that connects us to place, to history, and to each other.

Our work includes:

Delivering land-based learning and curriculum resources for educators

Supporting institutions in creating meaningful acknowledgements of Indigenous territories

Collaborating with Indigenous communities to guide public installations and learning experiences

Building respectful, lasting relationships between Indigenous and non-Indigenous peoples
