Chris Burkhalter

Chris Burkhalter has a diverse work experience in the field of motion graphics and video. Chris is currently working as the Design Director of Motion Graphics at MOCEAN since September 2021. Prior to this, Chris has worked as a Freelance Art Director for various agencies and direct clients since 2011. Chris also served as the Sr. Motion Graphics & Video Lead at Wild Card Creative Group from January 2020 to September 2021. Chris has also held positions as an Art Director of Motion Graphics & Video at Mob Scene from 2017 to 2019, at Moxie Interactive from 2008 to 2011, and as a Sr. Motion Graphics Video Lead at TBWA Chiat Day from 2007 to 2008. Additionally, they were a Co-Founder and Motion Graphics Director at The Post Office Editorial from 2001 to 2008, where they led the growth and development of the motion graphics team and supervised a team of editors. Prior to that, Chris worked as a Post Production Coordinator at DreamWorks Animation from 2001 to 2003 and as a Coordinator of International Marketing and Distribution from 1998 to 2000.

Chris Burkhalter pursued an autodidact education from 2008 to 2012, during which they focused on becoming a self-taught motion graphics artist and editor. In addition, from 2008 to 2010, they attended FXPHD, where they studied Visual Effects and Motion Graphics. In 1999 to 2000, they also took part in an Extension program in FILM studies at UCLA.
