Andy Muir

Andy Muir is an experienced professional in the petrochemical industry, currently serving as a Base Oils Consultant at Mocoh since January 2022. As the owner of StarChem International Ltd since 1993, Andy has focused on petrochemical brokerage, specifically acting as a sales and purchase agent in the import and export business with China. Previous roles include Senior Trader for Base Oils Europe at GP Global Group and a Senior Trader at Montee Energy Trading UK Ltd, both emphasizing base oil distribution in the UK. Andy has also held positions as UK Sales Manager at Hocem Oil Chemical Gmbh and Joint Managing Director at Buckton Scott Ltd, managing petrochemical sales to China. Early in the career, Andy worked as a Chemical Trader at London Export Corporation. Educationally, Andy holds a BSc in Chemistry from the University of Leicester, obtained between 1969 and 1972.
