Michael Hacking

Michael Hacking is the Founder and Director of AWE for Nature Foundation as of January 2024, driven by a commitment to foster impactful initiatives in Africa, particularly in nature conservation and economic development. With a long-standing background in energy and conservation, Hacking also serves as Chairman of Mocoh since its inception in 1998, promoting energy solutions across Africa. Parallel to these roles, Hacking has been the CEO and Founder of the mc2h foundation since November 2016, advocating for youth investment in Africa to ensure a prosperous future. Previously, Hacking held various leadership positions, including Director and Concession holder at Chewore Wilderness and CEO at Engen Petroleum International Ltd, among others. Academically, Hacking holds an MBA from IMD and a BA in Economics and African History from the University of Cape Town.
