Sharon Booker has extensive experience in financial management and customer service, currently serving as a Grants & Accounting Assistant at the Metropolitan Organization to Counter Sexual Assault (MOCSA) since January 2002. Sharon began working at MOCSA in September 2001 in the same role. Previously, Sharon held a customer service position at Dillards since July 2000 and worked as an Order Entry/Accounts Payable Clerk at Data Documents/Intelimail from 1991 to September 2001. Sharon is a high school graduate from Normandy, St. Louis, MO, and has pursued education in accounting, bookkeeping, and business.

MOCSA’s mission is to improve the lives of those impacted by sexual abuse and assault and to prevent sexual violence in our community. Together we can create a community free from sexual assault and abuse. Our services are free of charge and available to survivors and their families in the Kansas City metropolitan area. We offer the following services: - 24-hour Crisis Services: 816-531-0233 & 913-642-0233 - Advocacy: hospital, legal, police, and court advocacy; support groups - Counseling: individual and group therapy - Education: age-appropriate programs for children in elementary, middle, and high schools; training for advocates, counselors, law enforcement, restaurant and bar staff, and other professionals - Prevention: supporting community based coalitions in both Missouri and Kansas to prevent sexual assault and other forms of violence
