Passion for fashion, love for Africa and attention to those living in vulnerable conditions: this is how Mafric was born. Created by its founder Giovanni after volunteering in Zambia, the startup Mafric has grown in just a couple of years into a brand capable of successfully entering the difficult Italian fashion market. As an ethnic-ethical fashion brand, Mafric has two missions: first, creating unique and original clothes and accessories where the bright African Wax fabrics meet the very high quality and style of the Made in Italy; second, conveying a message of both social and environmental sustainability. With its wide network of social tailors, Mafric offers employment and support to people in vulnerable situations such as foreign women, migrants and unemployed young people. Furthermore, always keeping an eye to environmental protection, Mafric strongly invests in the process of ‘upcycling’, that is: reusing discarded objects to create high quality products, thanks to the close collaboration with cooperatives expert in the recycling sector.
