Simon Murphy

Simon Murphy has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the financial and technology sectors. In 2001, they started their career as a Senior Mortgage Advisor & External Sales Developer at Britannia Building Society, where they later became a Relationship & Affinity Regional Sales Manager. In 2008, they joined Leeds Building Society as an Intermediary Sales BDM, handling UK lending operations and later moving on to oversee overseas lending in Spain and Gibraltar. In 2017, Simon founded their own company, www.MyMortgageDeal.co.uk, where they served as Founder & Owner, specializing in providing independent mortgage brokerage services to contractors, expats, self-employed individuals, and foreign nationals. In 2018, they joined Current Media as Compliance & AMLRO, working on a unique tech start-up that uses blockchain technology. In 2019, they worked as a Compliance Lead at Colu. Simon's experience showcases their expertise in mortgage brokerage, sales, compliance, and technology.

Simon Murphy began their education in 2002 at IFS, where they pursued a CeMap 1,2,3 degree. Simon completed their studies at IFS in 2003, earning a Pass. In 2021, Simon enrolled at The London Institute of Banking & Finance to pursue a CeRER degree in Equity Release.
