Amber Shi

Amber Shi, MBA, currently serves as the Head of Incubation at Mode Network, where responsibilities include building the Bittensor Subnet SN50 Synth and driving early-stage venture incubation for the Layer 2 OP superchain. Previous roles include Head of Ventures at New Order (now Synonym Finance), focusing on venture investment strategies in crypto and DeFi, and mentoring early-stage ventures at Outlier Ventures. As Venture Manager for New Order, Amber specialized in decentralized financial projects, while experience at the Creative Destruction Lab involved advising blockchain startups on scaling and business strategy. Prior roles at Plug and Play Tech Center encompassed corporate innovation for Fortune 500 companies, and earlier positions included notable internships at Accenture and Gerson Lehrman Group, along with significant corporate banking experience at the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China. Amber holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a bachelor's degree from Shanghai International Studies University, along with studies in Japanese Literature and Culture.
